About Ryan Lynch
Ryan Lynch was national director and head of communications at Students for Saving Social Security (S4) from 2007-2009. During that time, he was also a member of the board of directors for S4's lobbying counterpart, Secure Our Future. In addition to appearances on live radio and television, including Fox Business, Lynch has spoken about entitlement reform at the National Press Club and was a presenter at the launch of Newt Gingrich’s policy group American Solutions in 2007.
Ryan previously blogged at SocialSecurityChoice.org, which was run by the Club for Growth, and has published pro-personal account letters and op-eds in newspapers across the country, drawing attention to the need to reform Social Security in a way that is equitable across generations.
In 2009, Lynch graduated with honors from the master's program in health care management at Georgetown University, where he researched the political and economic issues surrounding health workforce unionization. He also provided analysis on the effects of the 2008-2009 global economic crisis on international health systems while at the Advisory Board Company, a health care and higher education consulting firm.
Lynch graduated from Emory University in 2005 with a degree in consulting and venture management. In 2008, he was a graduate fellow at the Heritage Foundation, where he researched European health care systems and published about consumer-directed health care in the United States.
Aside from Social Security, health care and business consulting, Ryan’s areas of interest include philosophy, economics and international development.
